On June 19, the final of the 14th "Challenge Cup" Hebei College Students' Entrepreneurship Plan Competition came to an end. The students from the NEU at Qinhuangdao won 8 special prizes, and the NEU at Qinhuangdao won the Excellent Organization Award.
This competition was co-sponsored by Hebei Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, Hebei Education Department, Hebei Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, Hebei Association for Science and Technology, Hebei Students Federation and Baoding Municipal People's Government, and undertaken by Hebei Agricultural University and Baoding Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League. With the theme of "Challenge to build a dream and create the future of Ji", it consisted of five categories: scientific and technological innovation and future industries, rural revitalization as well as agricultural and rural modernization, ecological civilization construction and green low-carbon development, cultural creativity and regional exchanges and cooperation, social governance and public services. A total of 427 teams from 89 universities in the whole province were shortlisted for the final. A total of 25 works were recommended by the NEU at Qinhuangdao to participate in the provincial competition, and 16 works entered the final. Among them, Linglai Environmental Protection—Nano-particles were Used for Producing the Catalyst with Hollow Multishelled Structure (HoMS) was publicly defended as an excellent project representative.
The handover ceremony of the competition flag was held at the closing ceremony of the competition, and the NEU at Qinhuangdao won the right to host the 2025 Hebei College Students' Extracurricular Academic Scientific Work Competition which is the third time to host the "Challenge Cup" provincial competition after 2011 and 2019. The NEU at Qinhuangdao will take this opportunity to build a platform for sci-tech innovation, constantly stimulating the potential of academic innovation, and helping young students grow into talents.
