Teachers and students from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, NEU participated in the exchange activity with the Kyushu Institute of Technology in Japan

From October 2023 to June 2024, an exchange activity was held, and this exchange activity was hosted by Kyushu Institute of Technology and co-organized by seven universities at home and abroad, including the NEU and Shandong University in China. Teacher Xuehong He and 6 students (including 2 graduate students and 4 undergraduate students) from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, NEU participated in the activity.

The activity contained online and offline. Sci-tech paper exchange activity and project competition were held online. According to the performance of the online exchange activity, Daiyong Xu from the NEU was selected to go to Kyushu Institute of Technology to participate in offline exchange activity. During the exchange, the team visited several laboratories of Kyushu Institute of Technology, learned the laser cutting machine technology and designed samples by themselves. In addition, they carried out the observation experiments of water vapor condensation and water evaporation under an infrared microscope.

As we know, Kyushu Institute of Technology and the NEU established an inter-school exchange and cooperation relationship in 2007 and have maintained a good cooperative relationship for many years. The school of Mechanical Engineering and Automation and the Engineering Department of Kyushu Institute of Technology have been conducting academic exchanges for many years. In the future, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, NEU will further strengthen international exchanges and continuously cultivate high-quality talents with international vision.
